Maker & Son was a furniture brand renowned for its profound commitment to comfort, craftsmanship, and natural materials. After taking on new ownership, the founders were left with the task of rebuilding the lost credibility and market presence.

Project Objective

To launch the Los Angeles Showroom, streamline the tech stack, reset performance marketing fundamentals, and realign the brand voice to preserve the essence of what customers loved. At a time when legacy equity needed to be protected while we rebuilt the back of house and brand from the ground up. I helped bridge the gap between vision and execution, rebuilding trust and laying the groundwork for a more scalable model.

Engaged to support the relaunch of Maker&Son in the US, I led the development and execution of a trade-focused launch event for the Los Angeles showroom. Working with a local team of communications and event producers, we created a brand moment designed to reintroduce the business to the LA design community.

The event brought together key figures from the interiors and influencer space, delivering strong PR coverage and valuable content for ongoing brand storytelling. A highlight of the evening was a live artwork activation by Vogue Living Artist of the Year, Jason Phu, who painted directly onto one of Maker&Son’s signature chairs, reinforcing the brand’s creative values and craftsmanship.

Following the US relaunch, I worked closely with the leadership team to address the foundational issues impacting scalability and performance. This included restructuring and migrating the digital tech stack. We focused initially on the Sales CRM, moving to Pipedrive and establishing flows to reduce friction, improve data visibility, and restore confidence in core systems.

We rebuilt performance marketing from the ground up: refining media strategy, rebuilding analytics, and resetting campaign architecture to support sustainable acquisition and retention.

Following the US relaunch, I led the revitalisation of Maker&Son’s Sydney showroom to re-establish it as a flagship brand environment. The objective was to elevate the customer experience and deliver a more unified expression of the brand’s design values.

We reimagined the store layout and product presentation, enhancing the space with curated artworks to create a more immersive and cohesive in-store experience. The refreshed showroom became a storytelling hub, reconnecting with loyal customers and reinforcing Maker&Son’s commitment to craftsmanship and comfort.
